Martin Adams was playing the guitar in a family band as a young teenager spending every Friday, Saturday and Sunday gigging the notorious Working Men's Clubs across London and Essex while trying to maintain his school work.
Attending his first Pride event in the early 80's he met musician Tom Robinson, who took him under his wing and helped him in his 'coming out'. Martin later sang backing vocals with Tom at the Duke Of York Theatre in London's west end in 1986. In the early 80's he was lead guitarist with Medway based band 'The Offbeats' with whom he recorded an album and toured Belgium.
A long-time campaigner for gay rights, equality and human rights, Martin attended 'on the street marches' throughout the 80's and 90's.
He joined the NHS HIV/AIDS department where he worked tirelessly through his educational role in supporting schools and teachers in HIV awareness, and facilitated 'sexuality awareness' programmes at a time when 'Section 28' was still rife. He also co-wrote and facilitated 'Coming Out' groups for young gay men across Medway & Gravesham at this time, despite opposition from local Tory MP's
After many years of struggling with his own mental health issues, he's starting to pick up the guitar again 🙂

Luke Horton received his first drum kit at the age of 2, he was self taught up until he began studying at BIMM Brighton and graduated with a B.A HONS in Professional Musicianship.
Luke has performed with a variety of acts that have supported artists such as Wheatus, The Sugarbabes. He currently plays with The Starks Family Band who play a wide range of musical styles in and out of Kent
